Chris graduated from Washington State University in 1992 with a major in Business-Finance. He went on to work as a banking loan officer in the Puget Sound area for several years before founding his own financing company in 1995 called Pacific Equity Group Inc. which specialized in funding real estate venture capital properties for private investors.

In 2016 a fresh new look, logo and structure were implemented. The new company Pacific Equity Group, LLC moved its office from Tacoma to Gig Harbor, the hometown where Chris Unger grew up. Over the last 27 years, Chris has originated, underwrote and funded numerous private real estate equity loans in the greater Pacific Northwest. He also has a long career as a Puget Sound developer focusing on commercial and residential raw land projects.

Chris believes giving back to the community is important and, currently, is a Board Member for the Harbor History Museum.
